Privacy Policy

We believe your automation setups, layouts, and keystrokes belong to you. Here is exactly how we handle data, explained simply, honestly, and without legal jargon.

🛡️ The Golden Rule: We do not track your keystrokes, we do not store your macros on our servers, and we never collect passwords or credentials. Everything you build is stored locally on your machine.

1. Local Storage Only

Your macro files, recorded mouse movements, keystroke logs, image recognition snippets, and custom sounds are stored locally in a private file on your own computer. We have no access to this file. If you delete the app or lose your drive, your data is gone forever. We don't have cloud backups unless you manually export them using the built-in export feature.

2. Transparent Telemetry (What We Count)

To know if anyone is actually using the app and whether updates are downloading successfully, PowerX Keys sends a few anonymous counters to our secure server. Here is exactly all we track:

  • App Launches: A simple counter that goes up each time someone opens the app, so we know roughly how many people use it.
  • Website Downloads: Counts of download clicks for the standalone installer (.exe) and portable package (.zip) so we know which versions are popular.

We do not track your IP address, geolocation, hardware specifications, user ID, or macro names. It is purely anonymous counters.

3. Voluntary Feedback & Telemetry

When you use the "Report Bugs & Feedback" page, you are in complete control of what information is shared. If you click the link from the desktop application, the app appends your Windows operating system version to the URL (e.g., ?os=Windows 10.0.19045) to help us troubleshoot environment-specific bugs. You can choose to clear or edit this if you visit the page directly.

Any text, names, descriptions, or screenshots you write and submit in the feedback form are sent securely to our support queue to help fix the app. We do not use this data for anything else.

4. AI Macro Generator

If you use the built-in AI assistant to generate macros from text prompts, your text is sent securely to our AI service to create the macro for you. These queries are transient, processed in real time, and are not saved, logged, or tied to your identity.

5. Mobile Remote Security

The Mobile Remote feature creates a small, private connection on your PC. When you connect, all data is routed directly over your local Wi-Fi connection. If you enable the Secure Tunnel option, your data travels through Cloudflare's encrypted connection so you can control it on cellular networks. To keep neighbors or roommates out, connections are guarded by a 4-digit PIN lock. Incorrect PIN attempts lock out the connection for 30 seconds after 3 failures.

6. Changes to this Policy

This policy is effective as of June 2026. If we change how we collect telemetry (for instance, if we add cloud syncing as a voluntary opt-in feature), we will update this document and highlight the changes in the What's New changelog.
